Nutritional Support
When treating a patient in my office, nutritional supplementation is based on the individual. This is determined using applied kinesiology muscle testing. As human beings, we have a biochemical individuality, and what works for one person may not work for someone else.
Calcium, a multivitamin, fish oil (EPA, DHA) or something more specific such as a liver support must be tested for each individual patient. Age, gender, diet, genetic factors, health status are also factors which help me to determine what may be an appropriate way to adjunct treatment with supplements.
All vitamins and supplements are not created equal! Firstly, many supplements are fractionated which means that they do not contain the cofactors and coenzymes that make the vitamins from a natural food source work. In my office, I use supplementation derived from whole food sources. Secondly, because each individual is unique, one size does not fit all. For example, one type of calcium does not work for everyone. Based on history, exam, and symptoms, each supplement is muscle tested for the individual.
