I decided to explore some new work in April. Simply put, this is one of the most amazing and powerful techniques I have ever seen or experienced! If you have not experienced Quantum Reflex Analysis for yourself, you will do more for yourself regarding your health than you can possibly imagine. Make an appointment today.

QRA:
Quantum Reflex Analysis (QRA)™ provides specific tools for precisely identifying the hierarchy of what is taking place in the human body. The new paradigm in quantum bio-energetics has proven that the body’s biofield is preeminent over all the body’s biochemical processes (as shown in decades of German biophotonic research by Dr. Albert Fritz-Popp). This explains why even extensive treatment interventions on the biochemical level can often provide only minimal help for chronically ill patients. For rapid clinical resolution of even the worst cases, specific evaluation of the body’s biofield is essential. QRA™ provides efficient analysis for all types of cases and is especially helpful for more complicated cases where a weakened or disordered physiology has created a resistant symptom picture.

QRA™ offers a simply applied assessment tool that quickly unveils the core issues in organ/gland deficiency and immunological unresponsiveness. QRA™ is based on empirical observations in the quantum energy domain of life.

The state of the body’s quantum energy bio-field is the key factor in the body’s organ/gland hierarchy that determines how fast a person is able to heal or recover from an illness, trauma or an infection. The concept of the body’s biofield is based on scientific evidence on electrical conductivity, functional magnetic resonance imaging, and infrared imaging.

Once the stress overload has been identified, the application of appropriated therapy to support weak or deficient organs can be accomplished. Where there is a specific dysfunction in an organ (for example, the kidney), a specific related main control point will test weak. With a simple application of QRA™ therapy, the barrage of faulty input can be eliminated that has been responsible for “short-circuiting” the body’s meridian and neurological circuits.

To meet the health challenges of the future, QRA™ was designed to permit rapid and accurate screening of stressors and identification of hidden blockages and functional deficits in patients, especially those with chronic symptoms and immunological unresponsiveness. Detecting stress factors (such as xenobiotics, xenoestrogens, mycotoxins, radiolytic chemicals, allergens, deficiency states, etc.) and making clinically-effective nutritional corrections are essential for assessment of each individual and can be performed within a few minutes.

This method of assessment is reliable, reproducible, clinically effective and scientifically valid as it is based on the scientific principles of known facts of human physiology and quantum cellular resonance.

Most problems that exist within the body are based around something chemical and/or emotional being out of balance and therefore, manifesting structurally (mechanical) resulting in pain.

For example, the continued ingestion of wheat when there is an allergy or sensitivity to wheat can be problematic for the liver, which in turn can cause shoulder and/or middle back pain due to the relationship of the organ (the liver in this scenario) to the muscle (rhomboids or pectoralis major). One of the muscle’s responsibilities is to support the skeleton. When an organ is taxed by a chemical sensitivity (like wheat) the muscle that is related to the organ cannot perform its function properly, i.e., support the structure. Something moves out of alignment and you feel pain. Pain is just the body’s way of telling you that something is not right.

All matter in the Universe, whether inanimate or animate, vibrates. In fact, the latest theories in physics seem to indicate that everything in our Universe is made up of tiny vibrating strings that bind together to form matter.5 This fact becomes important when we realize that we as humans are vibrating, too, and that our health can therefore be affected negatively when some of our vibrations are out of harmony with the rest of the system.

As previously explained in the case history, some of the problems or allergies Jane was experiencing that caused her IBD were related to her vibrations being out of sync; that is, the way in which her body was vibrating in relationship to how her diagnosed allergens were vibrating. Another example of this phenomenon is when you hear a musical chord that is out of key with the rest of the score; the discordant chord has a different vibration than what the piece of music calls for, so it sounds out of harmony in relation to the musical score.

Q: What is the difference between chiropractic and applied kinesiology?

Chiropractic is the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the spine and muskuloskeletal system that may interfere with the nervous system. It is a system wherein the practitioner essentially aligns the spine. Each spinal segment (there are 24) is related to a meridian (Chinese Acupuncture Theory) and an organ or a gland. The spine essentially acts like a circuit breaker. When a circuit becomes overloaded, as in our homes, the breaker will trip. The spine acts in a similar fashion. For example, if your large intestine circuit becomes overloaded, the 4th lumbar vertebrae may potentially move out of alignment, or “trip”, causing low-back pain. So you may feel the pain in your low-back, but the underlying problem is with the large intestine. 1, 8

Applied kinesiology can be regarded as an adjunct to basic chiropractic. Not all chiropractors practice applied kinesiology, which requires a special, supplemental certification.

Q: What is Applied Kinesiology and how does muscle testing work?

Applied kinesiology (AK) is a form of diagnosis using muscle testing as a primary feedback mechanism to examine how a person’s body is functioning. By applying a force to a muscle it can be determined how the muscle is functioning.

In general a muscle will either test strong or weak. Based on the information the practitioner receives from the muscle test, a diagnosis can then be made and a specific course of treatment determined to bring about healing to the body.

AK draws together the core elements of many complementary therapies; it is an interdisciplinary approach to health care.2, 5. By utilizing AK, a systematic but individualized approach to your health can be achieved. How your individual malady is treated is specific to you. We might all be diagnosed with the same condition but the treatment for each individual may be different. This is just one of the ways AK is so valuable.

Q: Physiologically, how does stress affect the body and what are your suggestions for controlling it?

Dr. Hans Selye, a pathologist in the 1930’s, did a tremendous amount of research into how stress affects the body. He identified a pattern of stress-related illnesses as a reaction to chronic stress, concluding from his research that all stress (physical, chemical, thermal, and emotional/mental) is cumulative and directly affects the adrenal glands. He discovered that a person goes through a series of events in 3 general stages:

The Alarm stage and reaction where the body is alerted to a situation and begins to respond;

The Resistance stage, where the adrenal glands enlarge (hypertrophy) to adapt to the strain they are under;

The Exhaustion stage where the adrenal glands give out—they can no longer meet the demands that the body has placed upon them. The adrenal glands are chiefly responsible for regulating the stress response, and they produce several hormones critical for survival, including cortisol, DHEA, testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, adrenaline (aka epinephrine) and noradrenaline (aka norepinephrine). Since the adrenal glands are responsible for so many actions, their exhaustion may cause a myriad of symptoms such as, fatigue, dizziness,
moodiness, mental anxiety and nervousness, joint pain, allergies, digestive disturbances, asthma, palpitations, back pain, mental sluggishness, headaches, impotency, colitis, chest pain, shakiness, and on and on.

The adrenal glands are often in a depleted state from stress. When they are depleted or exhausted, a person loses his/her capacity to handle stress and has a lowered resistance
to disease processes. The adrenal glands “largely determine the energy of your responses to every change in your internal and external environment…The hormones secreted by your adrenal glands influence all of the major physiological processes in your body. Adrenal fatigue is one of the most prevalent conditions, yet it is rarely diagnosed
by physicians. (Michael Lam, M.D., M.P.H., http://www.tuberose.com)

When support of the adrenal glands is warranted when they are in the exhaustion stage, I like to use whole-food supplements. Whole-food supplements contain nothing synthetic or artificial, and more importantly contain “cofactors” which are often stripped during the manufacturing process of supplement production. Cofactors, both known and unknown, are necessary for a vitamin, enzyme or hormone to do its job.

In order to reduce stress, the stressors must first be identified. Once identified, we can explore ways that may enable us to modify or eliminate them, such as meditation,
yoga, exercise, deep breathing, music, art, reading, etc. Find what helps you to relax and get it into your day. Explore nature by going for walks in the park, on the beach or anywhere that you can see, smell, and feel nature and the way it functions. Of course, some of our stressors are difficult to avoid; however, by finding ways to deal with stress we can lessen its power over us.

Patient X, whom I will refer to as Jane, was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) by other health care professionals. IBD is a group of inflammatory conditions of the large intestine and, in some cases, the small intestine. Jane sought treatment from four different medical doctors, each of whom recommended steroids to treat her condition, a common form of treatment for this diagnosis. After one month of taking the prescribed medication (Prednisone, in her case), Jane felt bloated and irritable. Jane ultimately decided to discontinue taking steroids.

On August 29, 2006 Jane presented to my office with the following symptoms: watery, loose stool over a three year period; left hip pain and frozen left shoulder (both of which began concurrently with the bowel issues); and waking-up nightly between the hours of 3:00 and 3:30 am and low energy.

Following a history and an examination it was discovered that Jane had multiple allergic reactions to dairy products and gluten (proteins found in wheat known as gliadin and glutemin). After identifying Jane’s allergies, the offending agents were harmonized (a simple process which alters the vibrational frequency of the allergy so the body can tolerate it), spinal adjustments were performed on the spinal segments that were out of alignment (which are usually the spinal segments related to the organ (s) in question) and nutritional supplements were prescribed (Omega 3 or fish oils, a natural anti-inflammatory; chlorophyll, very soothing for the bowels; and calcium).

Jane returned a week later for a follow-up, and reported that “my left arm is moving better and my intestines feel delicate but there are some changes.” We continued to make the corrections to Jane’s body that were required, as diagnosed through manual muscle testing, and continued with nutritional support.

On her third visit Jane reported that her shoulder “felt great,” and that she was now sleeping through the night for the first time in 3 years and that her bowels were “great.” On her fourth visit Jane reported feeling 80% better—she was now having solid bowel movements for the first time in three years, and was continuing to sleep through the night.

Muscle testing enables the practitioner to detect the root cause of health problems and direct treatment to that area(s) instead of merely addressing the symptoms of pain or discomfort. Further, when warranted, proper nutritional supplements can be utilized and the health of the organism can be achieved. This protocol can be utilized with anyone who is interested in simply maintaining his or her present state of health.

Maintaining balance within the system is critical for overall health, and balance is accomplished through a combination of kinesiological/chiropractic treatments, diet, exercise, rest, and stress reduction (meditation, yoga, deep breathing, etc.), for it is when the body is in balance that its health will be expressed. As D.D. Palmer, the discoverer of chiropractic, famously stated: too much or too little will result in dis-ease.
